A High School Student Reviews a Smartpen, the Livescribe Echo

This is probably a better review than I could offer for the new Livescribe smartpen. It has gotten to the point that when my peers see me using my smartpen, they either clam up or ask me to stop using it.

And as an aside, is anyone using a smartpen or other recording device in class? Please comment below.

I could not live without my live scribe.

You might also want to be careful, I know that my law school doesn’t allow the recording of class lectures without permission from the prof and even then they can have different rules. For example my crim professor allows recording only if you share all the recordings with everyone in the class

I currently use Circus Ponies Notebook to lectures while I take notes. The program then syncs them up so I can click on the text where I might have missed something and listen right from there instead of searching the whole audio recording. There are many other programs that do this, but I like CPN the best.

Getting a live scribe for next semester though.
