The Mac Law Students Bookstore

I mentioned before that I’m working on a way to make the site pay for itself, hopefully in a fashion that doesn’t detract from the reading experience. To that end I just fired up an Amazon aStore, which I am calling The Mac Law Students Bookstore. It is an affiliate store running on Amazon.com, meaning that I get a meager slice of every sale that goes through the store. I selected books that were helpful to me as I was preparing for and engaged in law school.

As you can see, the selection is a bit spare right now and it certainly doesn’t look polished yet. I went off memory and selected books I’d personally used, but I know there were some others I can’t remember at the moment, and I’d also like to add more categories and generally flesh it out. If you have suggestions for books that you found helpful, please feel free to comment.

Hopefully this bookstore will strike the right balance. As always, let me know what you think.

I really used the Lexis “Understanding” Series a lot, especially Understanding Property and Understanding Criminal Law. The crim law one was written by the author of my casebook, and so I basically just read the hornbook and never read for class… Even one of my professors who was not a fan of using supplements said he didn’t mind when students used them as “an aid to master the material” (of course, we’re not supposed to use as a complete substitute!) :)
